For the last week I’ve been posting a few video’s regarding Call Of Duty’s new Modern Warfare 3 with some pretty neat gameplay and features.
But let’s think back to the announcement of the ‘Elite’ service that was proposed by Activision. It was communicated that the service would cost less than a regular subscription fee that would be on par with other online services available (i.e Netflix, Foxtel, Xbox Live) But as pointed out in by the boys over on Geekosystem these services offer a variation of content and services rather than a direct service for just the one game.

The pricing was confirmed today at $49.99 and this includes the following.
For a hardcore Modern Warfare gamer this is a must have subscription and with the inclusion of the DLC content, it’s not a bad investment. You have to remember that once this takes off, Activision will stick to this model for all future releases.
Now let’s step back and look at what your willing to spend $118 for the game and $50 strait away on the yearly subscription and lets not forget it’s on stop of your Xbox Live subscription (if you swing that way). At this point your committing yourself to a lot of buck, let’s hope you get enough bang.
