Modern Warefare 3 (Confirmed) with Steamworks Integration
The line has been drawn between two FPS games this year, Modern Warefare 3 (MW3) and Battlefield 3 (BF3).
If your not a PC Gamer this wont effect you too much but Valve has confirmed that MW3 will have Steamworks (Steam) integration, whilst EA has confirmed that they have pulled BF3 from having Steam integration (On contrary to Gabe Newells efforts to persuade EA to include Steam as a viable integration for PC Games sales and social interaction within the Steam client)

Although I’m more sided with BF3 this year rather than the Modern Warefare series, this has heavily affected my decision of which games to pick up this year.
I just hope EA realize that with having no Steam integration and support they affect the us as customers as we now will miss out on the following features.
- Pre-downloading the game with ‘on the hour activation’ upon release.
- The ability the check game content integrity.
- Valve Anti Cheat (VAC) system with implemented banning and reporting, thus allowing for a history to be kept that will inform other users of ‘VAC current standing’.
- Integrated friend list with Facebook implementation
- Steam’s ability to detect latest graphic card drivers (ATI exclusive)
- Bind to account Steam information that allows you to re-download your game if your computer dies and you need to rebuild.
This is just some of the stuff I love about Steam among many other things.
